A large Government Department is seeking an experienced Library Officer to assist in the management of library collections designed to meet client information requirements including serials accessioning, weeding collections, and selecting new stock.
The role will require the following skills and experiences:
· Proficiency in all aspects of library collection management, serials acquisition and control, cataloguing and indexing
· Knowledge of legal research tools
· Understanding of principles and practices of modern information provision and knowledge of evolving trends.
· Experience in corporate, government, public or academic library environments.
Qualifications in librarianship are essential as well as experience of working in a law library, or knowledge of legal research tools.
The successful candidate will also have to undergo an AFP Criminal History Check.
